Windows Authentication
The new Windows Authentication feature prevents unauthorized usage of the system. Users must input their “User Name/Password'' — the same ones used to login to their PC — which is then verified by the Windows Network Server. Additionally, upon login authentication, the system’s Scan-to-email capability becomes available and the authenticated user name is sent to the “Sender’s Name” field. Finally, using existing network login infrastructure eliminates the need for users to remember an additional password.
